What are we seeing out there?

It's one of those things that I've gotten more and more questions about, and we did a great podcast about to pat ourselves on the back with Kevin Hart at the symposium, I think it was two years ago, that we did about the formicarie, corrosion, and galvanic corrosion, and the different types of corrosion that we see just around metals as a whole, but also on indoor units.

And I love talking to Rachel Kaiser.

I like to call her our in-house chemist.

You're like, "Well, this unit lasted 12 years, and then I got a mini-split, or I got a VRF system, and the coil only lasted two years." And it's like, what the heck? And it's like, well, there's a lot of things that go into understanding what's taking place within coil failures.

And so it's not just a one thing or one-size-shoe-fits-all here.

It's a whole scientific deep dive around chemistry, really, and it's a cause and effect that takes place with coil corrosion.

One of the biggest things that I've seen out in the field is sometimes is drastic oversizing.
