Corpse reviver

This week we're doing a Corpse Reviver.

The Corpse Reviver class of cocktails is named because their intended use was as a hangover cure which, yeah, getting drunk again will solve some of the issues of a hangover I guess.

That's real.

[laughs] Th- The Savoy Cocktail Book published in 1930 says of the less popular Corpse Reviver Number One, "To be taken before 11:00 AM or whenever steam and energy are needed." So, you know, it's basically Gatorade.

The author does add four of these taken in swift succession will unrevive the corpse again as a helpful warning.

I chose the Corpse Reviver number two for Tori mostly on title, 'cause I think it matches well with th- the whole vibe of it.

But I do think one ingredient in particular, the absinthe that's used for the rinse, is perfect for her.

It's my favorite cocktail.

I'm like, what? She's like, I'm making it at home.

It kind of reminds me a little bit of Corpse Reviver No. 2, sort of, on those notes, kind of.
