Corphish

The young couple prove their love is more solid, as they use Nidoking and Nidoqueen to defeat May and Ash in some trainer training.

Ash and May have a lot of trouble coordinating their attacks, which is usually because May keeps having Skitty use assist, which ends up blocking Corphish's attack, freezing Corphish, burning Corphish, like,

They both could have discussed it more.

And if they, like, you know, were being nice to each other throughout the episode, it would have gone better.

And they thank each other for what their Pokemon do to help the other one out and all that.

So they're obviously learning their lesson.

And so then by the end, Corphish and Skitty send Team Rocket blasting off again!

Ding! Well, we already covered Trainer's Choice with Judah.

All of Ash's except Taillow, I think, and then Meg's Pokemon are out and Lotad and Mudkip.

Corphish finds a Loudred in the cave.

He wanders off the path and finds a

Loudred.

They don't have the Pokemon.

Pikachu finds Silcoon on a little ledge but can't reach it.

Corphish tries to grab it but isn't able to actually grasp it and instead knocks it over into a river in this cave and everyone goes after it over another waterfall.

Yeah, and it's funny because the waterfall was pointed out as being such an anomaly last episode, and we just have another waterfall again.

Yeah.

Because Corphish uses it.

Did you notice the Pokeball effects are a bit different?

Were they?

Ah!

And Snow Run's like, you're right, Nurse Joy, we got to destroy Team Rocket.

So he freezes them, and he works with Corphish, because Corphish blasts them off again, and Snow Run opens up the window so they can blast off again out the window.

I actually watched this episode with Josh, and he was delighted that Corphish was front and center.

She has a crush, and Lombre could not even care less about this.

So Brock tries to get Lombre to be his wingman, it doesn't work, and then Team Rocket comes, and then they have a battle, and then Corphish is in love with Mawile, and then finally they find a Water Stone in Samantha's bag, and Lombre evolves into Ludicolo, and now Mawile hates-

Time

...

Ugh.

All right, so Brock goes and he falls into what is, of course, a pitfall trap, because Team Rocket has captured them, and they steal Mawile in the balloon.

So Ash sends out Corphish, to Josh's delight, and-

[laughs]

It didn't eat anything and it won't communicate with Ash.

Corphish decides to help and jumps up into the tree

and knocking Ash out of it with some friendly fire.

Then we get our hoeing, jumping Jigglypuff showing up with Loudred.

We'll see.

While discussing the match, Talo finds a fruit tree and brings the group over to it.

Corphish destroys a lot of the fruit trying to get it down, even though Ash tells him to be gentle, but Grovyle skillfully cuts down some with Leaf Blade.

All but Corphish love Grovyle, and then they all get caught in a net by Team Rocket, who deliver an interesting intro.

Could have lobster.

Are you gonna name it Corphish? [laughs]

Yeah, true.

Uh, this is also where you get one of the most expensive Mudkips, too.

And he uses a fucking Crabby, or a Corphish for so long.

Yeah.

Dude, what is Ash doing? He only evolves his Tepig into a Pignite.
