Today we are diving into Sauron's theme.

If you're a listener to the long-running podcast Exploring the Lord of the Rings by Professor Corey Olsen, you may have heard my introductory musical theme for Sauron, the Lord of the Rings, or Myron the Admirable, which was the name he was first known by.

That's what you can hear in the background.

If you're not aware, Myron is the name that Tolkien gave to Sauron from the time before his fall to follow down the same path as Morgoth.

And I feel like I could just use like a centering moment because like, like you said, like our summer just turned into this chaos of scheduling.

And tonight I messaged Corey and was like, are we talking about Pride and Prejudice? That feels like so long ago.

We're going to stay in the realm of Tolkien for a little while and use tonight as just a way to kind of set ourselves up and remind us what the three are.

And I think just have a nice conversation about what we know, what decisions they might be thinking about, the kinds of things we could expect.

And for good reason, they have it.

This feels like special features.
