And does that mean that they're going to put Ethan Oney on guard because Kyle Hinton's dealing with His injury or whatever but that injury is not enough to put him on IR so it's one of those things where, you know, will he be ready for week one to be the primary backup because you have the five starters and then you know your active roster has three primary backup primarily a tackle a guard in the center.

And we know Corey Levin is going to be the center and presumably Mike Terrell is going to be the tackle.

It's just a question of who's going to be that sort of guard.

And so that was an interesting development.

They don't go that route, so that implies that what he's dealing with is not a long-term thing.

But like you said, they've got to find someone to play guard, so maybe that's Ethan O'Neal.

We know Corey Levin technically can play both and has in the past, so maybe to start, he's kind of just the interior swing backup, and then Ethan O'Neal was activated as an emergency guard, essentially.

The most interesting guy is probably the waiver claim in Cameron Williams, who...

They're really Chris Lindstrom and Bergeron and Ryan Neusel.

Um, and then they kept the two veterans that I think we were expecting to make the roster and Corey Levin and Kyle Hinton.

And the good news of course, is that Kyle Hinton didn't need to go on short-term IR.

So they do have their reliable backup, uh, guard available, which is nice to see.

And Dave, you mentioned four quarterbacks.

It's four because Jack Strand had such a good preseason.

And one thing that kinda- Stood out to me, I don't know if you, any of you all, you know, a- any, any one of you all can, can respond to this.

Uh, did y'all notice that, uh, Ryan Nuzzol got subbed out? Um, uh, Corey Levin was, uh, was, was snapping at center?

I did notice that.

The only starter to get subbed out.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Yeah, I, I don't like t- to be- with it being pre-season, it could be a variety of different things, so I didn't think much of it, then I was like, "Well, wait a second, why is Corey Levin snapping to two? Like, what's going on here?" But they're just trying to find an answer.

Maybe N- maybe Nuzzol is, is underperforming and they're trying to send a message.

I have them with nine offensive linemen.

The five starters obviously with Mike Gerau, Wanya Morris, Corey Levin, and Ethan Onyenwa being their backup.

So when we talk about why Strand makes the QB three, I think most of you are in agreement that's what should happen for the Atlanta Falcons.

We may see some roster shenanigans, roster gymnastics as we discussed earlier in the week when it comes to final cuts and that decision with the QB three where the Falcons do cut Cooper Rush because he's a vested veteran and then decide to bring him back at a later date, whether that's ahead of the week one game or after the week one game.

Yeah, I think that I went into this training camp being like I could really see a world in which someone like James Brockermire, who has like kind of the pedigree that he did from college, a guy from Miami who played well, like watching some of his film from Miami, like played really well last year.

Could he find his way onto this roster? Like was there a way knowing that the Falcons have a – They have Ryan Neusel, they have Corey Levin, and James Brockemeyer as this sinner conglomerate.

And the more that I think about it, and the more that time has gone on, I think if you would have asked me this question a week and a half, two weeks into training camp i probably would have a different answer i think that cory levin has actually established himself more as that backup to ryan newsle here lately especially after a couple of preseason games so it wouldn't surprise me if like when you're looking at this offensive line you're keeping eight or nine guys i don't know if james brockermeyer makes that cut but But I don't want him leaving because I think that he's somebody that I know he's a UDFA, but he's somebody who I think could maturate into a pretty good player, a pretty good center, or a good solid backup for you and kind of following the Ryan Neusel blueprint.

So I have appreciated kind of the conversation around the center because it's not the sexiest of conversations, but I think that it says a lot about Corey Levin.

kind of elevating himself into that backup role.

Yes, I think Corey Levin has done a great job of that.

But like you said, James Rockmeyer would fall into that lineage of developmental centers that the Falcons have had.

And we know that developing players is near and dear to Kevin Stefanski's heart, as he has said many different times.
