um last thing i do want to bring up this isn't part of you uh i had the opportunity this past monday labor day to go see the opening of the movie occupational hazard which is about the early days of the coral reefer band and jimmy buffett and uh was like an opening deal at the key west theater yvonne and i got to see and a friend of ours uh John Cunningham, down in Key West, has put his heart and soul into this thing and directed it, and it's gonna be touring theaters.

And it's one of the coolest, you've got to, because when I, you've got to watch this when it comes on Netflix.

It's an unbelievable look at the coral reefers in the early days.

And then I went to just up and down the street for a walk and talked to friends I hadn't seen in a long time.

Absolutely, yes.

So Mac McAnally was a longtime member of the Coral Reefer Band and a longtime friend of Jimmy's.

And he has been super helpful working on this exhibit as well.

All of his stories and his interviews and all the information he has about the guitars and all the things that we have.

But he will be at the Sanger Theater tonight doing a show called Margaritas and Memories.

along with Scotty Emrick and Eric Darkin, who are both longtime members of the Coral Reefer Band.

I have not seen the show.

I have heard wonderful, wonderful things about it.

Sam Clayton.

He plays percussion on this album, and he toured with the Coral Reefers from 1982 through 1988.

Sam had a job as an electro-mechanical engineering drafter.

After seeing Lester Horton and the Modern Dancer's Zapata, he was enthralled by the conga player.

I really enjoyed it a lot.

We wound up doing six interviews.

which turned into 18 interviews, and the storyline got a lot bigger.

You know, we really wanted to cover those first Coral Reefer band members, how the band came together, their time on the road, as you described a minute ago, because, you know, you generally don't know a lot about the band members, and now, unfortunately, several of them are past.

Obviously, Jimmy's past as well, and you lose that bit of history.
