COPA90

So we actually think we got too serious or too, too, taken too seriously, and that's why we're making some changes.

But the Hashtag, um, name, actually if you go back to those Copper 90 days, so I was talking to one of the guys who was one of the founders of Copper 90 the other day, and, um, 'cause I was like their first or second employee, but I, I would come up with ideas, and obviously a lot of them would get binned off, and it was very early in the YouTube days, right?

Mm-hmm.

Like, this is 2012 I think we got Copper 90.

And, um, I pitched an idea which was loosely based on, you probably won't remember something called Fash FC, but there was a footballer called John Fashanu who ended up-

Yeah, I do remember Fash FC

And they actually, I think they got promotion, they had some success, and it all fell apart because people weren't renewing their membership.

Mm.

And, you know, there was a point sort of after COVID, before they kind of bought the mag back, before they got acquired by Football Co., where it was like, okay, you know, the, the, the, there are a few people in that space doing really interesting things.

And, you know, I always kind of saw Mundial and like COPA90 on a, on a sort of similar level or, or similar level of respect.

And y- and, you know, COPA90 have gone on, you know, they've, they've, by all accounts, they've had like a mega World Cup and, you know, things are going really well over there.

And, you know, Mundial, after they got acquired, it never really kind of kicked on.

Um, and it, it could have and it should have really.
