Cop Out

Big, big, big Kevin Smith fan.

And one of the things that he, when he made, uh, after he did Cop Out, uh, and then he did Red State and, uh, you know, he, he bought the distribution rights himself and it was this whole like, "He's losing his mind" thing.

I don't know if you remember when that happened.

And it's like, you know, all these years later and he's still going-

I, I would've guessed that.

Did you ever see Cop Out, uh, the one he did-

No. [laughs]

... with, um, Tracy Morgan, who...

I mean, most of his films were Miramax.

Yeah, he did get a chance later in the late 2000s with Cop Out, which was very bad.

Very bad, yeah.

Unfortunately.

See, I can deal with certain action stuff.

But, like, you know, like, Cop Out and stuff.

I was going to say Cop Out, Rush Hour.

Those are my jam.

Like, or any Jim Carrey movie from the 90s.

...

he, you know, he did that kinda hired gun job where he directed Cop Out, and that's where he had all that animus with Bruce, with Bruce Willis.

And, uh-

Maybe Kevin Smith's the problem

which you guys let fall off the list.

Harold Faltermeyer is so kind of iconic for doing scores for these type of movies that Kevin Smith baited him out of retirement for his cursed Bruce Willis buddy cop movie Cop Out with Tracy Morgan, which I didn't even make it through that fucking movie.

And then most recently he did some additional work for Top Gun Maverick because he'd done the original Top Gun score with Hans Zimmer and Lady Gaga.

Cuffs wakes up at dawn to go to the Academy.

Yeah, yeah.

You ever seen Cop Out? Lives up to the name.

Yeah, straight the fuck up.

He hates that movie.
