Did you know that people, like, raised over 100,000 signatures to, like, get this, like, extension to, like, give more money to, like, the cop city project holy shit and they never counted it they never like they turned in a hundred thousand signatures to do a voter ballot referendum or whatever it's called and the city just never never even counted it

This story, of course, out of Atlanta, has drawn international attention.

We know about the construction of Atlanta's Public Safety Training Center, widely referred to by opponents as Cop City.

Now, the training center, of course, is already open, but only after years of public comment, a petition campaign, and self-described forest offenders who occupied the urban forest cleared for the center's construction.

Yes.

How much energy would it take to tear all that stuff down? Again, like Cop City, for example.

I'm from Atlanta.

The capitulation to Capitol to just say, you know what? We just, we gonna let these people just build that stuff out and then we gonna militarize all these people with guns and we just gonna have all these decked out SUVs riding around 285 and 85 and I-20 and just like terrorize people, you know, because that's, I mean, that's the only way that we can make money off of, you know, this system right now.

undermine, use fourth-generation warfare tactics to undermine the system from within, take control, take power, and then, you know, dismantle everything.

That's borders, anti-ICE, BLM, transgender militants, pro-abortion stuff, the environmental stuff, stop Cop City.

All these people are the same people.

These are Antifa.

And they, they, they, there's a, there's an insurgency indigenous kind of insurgency from within, um, And they see this in these groups.

They use these kind of left-leaning, disaffected youth as their kind of fodder for recruitment.

And then they encourage them to gather in a particular place to – to protest, so to speak, peacefully, whether it be Stop Cop City or some kind of, you know, transgender protest or something.

And then they'll seed that group of people with paid agitators.

And they're bringing that shit home concentration camps, private prisons, concentration camps.

They're trying to figure out with Cop City down in Atlanta how they can fucking turn Atlanta, that whole area into an open concentration camp like they did Gaza.

You can live in it, but shit goes in and comes out as we allow it.

Control.

They kill us all.

They tested it on the Palestinians.

They're building Cop City in Atlanta.

They have Gestapo agents on our streets, snatching people off our streets.

Yeah, and, and that's a great transition, right? Because we've talked about all of the ways that the institutionalized version of the climate movement through the, like, big tent coalition with the Biden administration failed to produce meaningful results even if they got a piece of legislation passed.

But at the same time as all of that, there has been another trajectory of struggle that I think is worth talking about, and that is, again, one of the types of, like, site-based resistance struggles that we've named, and I'm speaking in particular of the resistance to Line 3 in Minnesota and then following that, the Stop Cop City movement in Atlanta.

These are intensely site-based struggles and, and there's, you know, a considerable amount of overlap in terms of who's participating in them.

But though they were local in a sense and site-based, they sought through the messaging around them and the demands around them to connect the politics of ecology and environmentalism to wider politics of antagonism over indigenous sovereignty, over policing, over racial capitalism, over different elements of the coercive power of the state.

So I guess my question for you is, does that pose an alternative route? But then I will complicate that question by naming that that route also was heavily securitized, obviously in a very different way, right? If we can think about the assimilationist politics of the institutional left and the NGO left participating in the Biden administration getting sucked into the securitization of national policy, so, like, securitized from within, the resistance movements on the ground were kind of securitized from above, right? In that there was massive repression that was waged against these movements.

In, in Stop Cop City, we're talking about the use of RICO charges.
