Baker Reggie Edwards plans to open Halcyon Bakery and Cafe, offering French pastries and breads in the former Bluff City Coffee Space next spring.

FedEx has reclassified dozens of zip codes across the Mid-South, raising delivery surcharges for many rural areas.

According to analysts, the reclassifications reflect the carrier's effort to boost margins as UPS, Amazon, and others battle for volume.

Bane Barbecue's owners, Bryant and Heather Bane, had to toss about 2,000 worth of spoiled products from their Germantown location's walk-in freezer.

Bryant Bane said the couple was thankful it wasn't their Cooper Young location where they store all of their raw meat and would've been about $100,000.
