And then in 2015, you set up your own company, CGC, with your co-founders, Dave and Ian.

And since then, you've kind of gone on to work on a range of very large construction projects, Coomera Connector, Sunshine Coast Light Rail, so not light rail, heavy rail.

And then most recently in late 2025, you actually exited the company or you've kind of acquired RSK, a UK group have bought and acquired CGC.

So a really interesting journey as an entrepreneur from startup through to an exit.

We didn't go for great growth at the time.

We spent probably three or four years knocking around, keeping ourselves busy before we hired our first person.

And that was... what, 2019, 2018, 2019, and then I guess the opportunities around tendering some larger projects came off the back of the work that we were doing on other major projects with the contractor, and that we won one tender, which was Coomera, and then it was just time to launch, and we'd really needed to ramp up.

And I guess it was, Coomera was the catalyst for us to look inside.

It's like the entry to the Gold Coast for some people.

Maybe they were priced out of Helensvale, or they want more larger blocks compared to Helensvale and like Coomera, bigger awarders, places like that.

Pac Pines is such a good option.

Great north and southbound access on the M1, obviously close to Helensvale shops and surroundings, obviously all the theme parks, everything's clo- It's a great, great suburb.

What can you do?

I can do a one-handed cartwheel.

He's coached me, he's coached Cody, like, and was sort of like my earliest grade cricket coach, and I just still love him.

And he rang me and said, like, "Hey, mate, do you want to..." He's coaching Coomera down the coast.

He was like, "Do you want to come and, uh, play in this T20 game for me tomorrow?" And my instant reaction was like, "Nah, not really."

Mm.

in a day.

Yeah, and, like, but just in my life in general.

Never got a pair before, and I've got it in one day playing for the Coomera Crocs.
