Conversion therapy

Mm.

So currently we have a law called the Conversion Therapy law.

Now, New Zealand First wasn't in Parliament when it was voted for, so, uh, there w- I think there was eight National MPs that voted against it in the whole of Parliament.

I mean, the conversion law, you know, criminalizes parents for affirming their daughters as girls, their sons as boys, and yet we've got to the point we're realizing that putting kids on puberty blockers is not the solution.

It's doing more harm than good.

Is there moves to overturn, re-litigate the conversion therapy law?

Well, I sure hope so, but you see, we c- came into a circumstance where we inherited that.

Mm.
