Control-C

A keyboard shortcut is a combination of keys that performs an action quickly, such as CTRL-C to copy.

They introduced interrupt lifecycle hooks.

So when you hit Control-C to interrupt a top-level turn, Codex can automatically run custom shell commands or model context protocol handlers that you set up.

Wait, really? So if my agent spun up a local dev server or an active cloud execution, Control-C can clean up those background processes automatically?

Yep.

No more orphaned node processes lingering in the background eating up your RAM.

They would disconnect from SQL and Exchange in the end block.

But the problem got to be is what if you hit Control-C in the process block? Nothing happened.

And so this is analogous to the try catch finally.

In a finally block, the control C actually launches the finally block.

Right.

If I try and break into it, then I can take those credentials and maybe do something with it.

But what happens, the clean block actually launches with Control-C, and therefore it's a security enhancement because now anything in that clean block, disconnect, notify people, flush all the credentials and everything, executes, and then PowerShell becomes available.
