And so the company had this sort of bizarre, there are not two businesses more different than Consumer Electronics.

go in.

so this is interesting, because this is something, because you and I briefly spoke about this before, and this is something I think I didn't quite pick up on before, which I'm getting now, is what you're saying is that All of the pieces to do this exist.

They're disparate in much the same way that self-driving cars came along, dropped the price down, and a lot of people are picking up the pieces.

My parallel that I use a lot, I haven't come over from consumer electronics, is smartphone industry just launched all these other...

So what you're saying is the pieces are there.

But the core functionality, that predictive pattern recognition, remains exactly the same.

Let's bring this into our homes then, because the consumer tech sector is just booming with devices that are constantly learning user habits to offer deeply personalized experiences.

It's everywhere now.

We are talking about voice-activated assistance, managing our schedules, smart appliances, optimizing our energy use, and streaming algorithms curating content.

It's incredibly convenient, but I can see how some might find it a bit eerie.

Well, if we connect this to the bigger picture.

This entire consumer tech boom isn't actually just about selling you a slightly better smart speaker or a cooler video game.

What is it about then?

Let's just use this across, you know, another company.

And so, you know, one of our other companies is in the distribution space, Consumer Electronics.

And the distribution business is a lot of reporting.

So all of the reporting, we were able to fully automate.

South Korea's first plastic molds, plastic jar caps, eventually high chassis, PVC doors and windows.

Consumer Electronics and Appliances, the Gold Star side.

It is, you know, you think back in the history of time of going to stores and like what stores have figured out and what have it.

Like I was talking to somebody about this the other day, Consumer Electronics, back in the Circuit City days, if you remember Circuit City and East Coast, I think they were based out of Virginia, but they had the weirdest checkout ever.

Like you go into a Circuit City, checkout wasn't like at the front of the store where you would expect it to be or the back of the store.

It was like diagonally embedded into certain departments, but you weren't quite sure which department.
