Janet ParshallHOST
37:37
[instrumental music] So I wanna tell you a story coming out of the state of Arizona.
Janet ParshallHOST
37:54
David Hoffman sued the city of Tucson and two police officers for violating the First Amendment and the Arizona Constitution by flatly prohibiting religious speech and issue-based leafleting, that's the legal jargon, at the Winterhaven Festival of Lights, which receives a city permit, but takes place on free and open public streets, the lawsuit said.
Janet ParshallHOST
38:16
So the city's policy also violates Hoffman's 14th Due Process rights because it grants, quote, "unfettered discretion to private citizen permittees to make decisions about what content is allowed on public streets and ways, giving public officials undue opportunity to enforce the policy in an ad hoc, arbitrary, and discriminatory manner." That's according to the lawsuit.
Janet ParshallHOST
38:38
Well, the city didn't respond to First Liberty.
Joey BoyHOST
2:34
Wow, you guys are Phoenicians.
J.D.HOST
2:38
I failed Arizona Constitution.
J.D.HOST
2:39
That's the only thing I learned.
SiennaHOST
2:40
[laughs]
Mike BroomheadHOST
23:33
That's the only concern I have with any of these things.
Mike BroomheadHOST
23:37
Uh, it, it's a legislative referendum that would amend the Arizona Constitution to prevent state and local governments from ever implementing taxes based on the number of miles a person drives.
Mike BroomheadHOST
23:49
It would also forbid any law that would cap the number of miles a person can travel in their vehicle.
Mike BroomheadHOST
23:57
So pass it legislatively.
Jacob MartinezGUEST
13:25
We need to make sure we're being strong supporters of public education.
Jacob MartinezGUEST
13:29
It's in the Arizona Constitution, right, that we need strong public schools, that we need to protect public schools.
Jacob MartinezGUEST
13:34
And so we need to live out what our founders intended.
DianeHOST
13:38
Thank you so much for that, Jacob.
Martha KnightGUEST
58:19
So homeschooling, private schooling, charter schooling, anything else other than public schooling.
Martha KnightGUEST
58:25
And so over the summer they worked very hard to get a proposition onto the ballot that would, according to the Arizona Constitution, would forever no longer allow ESA, which actually stands for Empower- Empowerment Scholarship Accounts.
Martha KnightGUEST
58:42
So it empowers school choice in Arizona, and we are the leader in the United States with school choice currently.
Andrew KolvetHOST
58:49
Oh, it's amazing.
Matt BeienburgGUEST
10:06
So we saw all of this coming from the Biden administration absolutely pushing for this.
Matt BeienburgGUEST
10:11
And states were able to, again, we can kind of go into the details here, but basically use that and say, oh, well, Arizona State Constitution has this carve out that if the federal government wants us to be involved in this, or we can use them as an excuse for why we're doing it, we'll be okay.
Matt BeienburgGUEST
10:24
We can keep pushing this kind of stuff.
Scott MuceyHOST
10:25
And so then our tax dollars, and you mentioned before, are being used to hire DEI officers in schools, not just at the universities, but even in our district schools, these DEI officers that were going around and being basically the woke police to make sure that you were promulgating this political agenda.
Seth GruberHOST
39:41
...
Seth GruberHOST
39:41
Arizona State Constitution, and they've done that in Ohio, they've done that in Michigan, in Washington and Oregon and California, in Kansas and Missouri, and Massachusetts recently with those witches signing abortion through point of birth.
Seth GruberHOST
39:58
So it's gonna take us at the local level to make this change.
Seth GruberHOST
40:02
That's right.

21 MINS LATER

Seth GruberHOST
61:28
Just do it God's way.
Robert FurrowGUEST
61:29
[laughs]
Seth GruberHOST
61:31
Um, but if, if a woman gets pregnant, you just need to know, like the father has zero ability legally to protect that child in this state, because it's a constitutional right in the Arizona State Constitution for her to kill the baby.
Seth GruberHOST
61:42
You have no rights as the father.
