We're all really proud of the production, and Constanza Romero, who's, uh, August Wilson's widow and the, uh, the, the executor of the estate, uh, serves as our dramaturg, uh, with Tim Bond, the director, and they worked on the piece for a year.

And, and the amount of work and thought that they put into it, which rippled into all the conversations that they had with us as designers, we came in having such a deep dive already, hours and hours prior to, uh, tech, uh, 'cause, um, Gordon Proman sent me an email just the other day s- 'cause he s- he saw it and said, "It was amazing, and really good lighting, and you guys must have had really long techs." [laughs] And I wrote back, "It was the same amount of time as every other show in the repertory." But in reflecting on it, there was so much conversation.

The sound designer was there from second week of rehearsal all the way through opening, that we were able to do such a deep dive even before I put on a headset, that that paid off in spades.
