Matt ChristieHOST

So off I go, and I think that is the difficulty is that this sport, as I say, is so congested, the vast majority of the A star fighters, and there's not that many of them, they will all be contracted to rival promoters.
Matt ChristieHOST
8:28
So you start coming in and you start ranting and raving and criticizing other promoters or suggesting that you are superior to them when you've been here for five minutes, you are making a very, very difficult job borderline impossible now I'm not saying they won't succeed and I'm not saying they won't go on to do what they've said they've achieved to do but the problem is when you make promises like that from a huge platform and you make them really really loudly the natural reaction from pretty much everybody else is a wish to see them fall flat on their face and I think that's what happened I also think some of the money that they've spent, and the obvious example would be the amount of money that was spent on Conor Benn for a fight against Regis Progre and then throwing him in against Ryan Garcia, you kind of start to ask yourself, how is this really a sustainable business? There is no way they will have made returns on what they have paid for Conor Benn to this point.
Matt ChristieHOST
9:24
Perhaps they will in years to come.
Matt ChristieHOST
9:28
And all of the promoters that they're currently doing battle with, by and large, are... and have proved to be sustainable businesses.
Ariel HelwaniHOST
39:52

But then, unfortunately for them, the Saudis pulled the plug, it looks like.
John NashHOST
39:15
But how much do you think them setting the bar has hurt them with the Conor Benn price? Because now it seems like they're somewhat stuck without the Saudi purses because guys like Shakur are not taking less.
John NashHOST
39:28
And people like Haney that were discussed at sign with them, they were asking for a lot.
John NashHOST
39:33
And then there's these... uh, Hitchinson fight and stuff that, you know, in the future that might fall through because, and you know, Keyshawn Davis, Fosley just got released from, from Bob Arum and Bob Arum kind of laughed at it because he wanted to get out because he thought he'd get a huge purse with this, the Zufa boxing and that money might not be there anymore.
