A pair of teams that were able to hold it down as well.

I'll read off the names and I'll give you my thoughts.

Steven Cruz, Nate Pearson, Craig Kimbrell, Alex Lang, Connor Thomas, Anthony Gose, Jose Quas, Nolan Hoffman, and Easton McGee.

Cruz, yes.

Pearson, yes.

So here's we we talked about some of these new additions and I kind of want you to lead off on this new addition.

Southpaw Connor Thomas, who the Royals got off of waivers from from the athletics.

They recalled him to to make his Royals debut in mid-August.

What have you thought about him so far?

Connor Thomas is a really, really interesting case to me because you look at his K per nine of 6.1. That's lower than Craig Kimbrell.

And you go, well, that's not good enough.

Then you look at that walks per nine of less than one, 0.87. And that gives him a K bib of 14.3%, which is above average.

He's a guy I want probably as organizational depth, at least, just to be like, yeah, we're not having to bring in Aaron Bummer again.

I thought Stephen Cruz looked really good.

Connor Thomas still has his warts.

I'm still not in.

I think he's closer to Sam Long than he is Daniel Lynch.

Seth Lugo gives up two runs in five innings, was taken deep by Mickey Jasper, his ninth home run of the campaign.

But from there, you did have Nolan Hoffman, Connor Thomas, Nate Pearson, and Steven Cruz all in a scoreless inning, being able to lend lots of scoreless innings.

The Tampa Bay Rays, three to one, they're able to take down the Houston Astros as the opener, Miguel Ilola, be able to give you a scoreless inning.

From there, Brian King, he was the king of going four out scoreless.

And for the Royals, while the bullpen has been a little bit better here recently, they're still a team that has a over five bullpen ERA for the season, second worst in all baseball.

Jose Quas, Anthony Goes, Steven Cruz, these are guys give you a sub for 25 ERA.

And I like Nate Pearson, but Connor Thomas has been a disaster.

Alex Lang has been.

And they got Nate Pearson for next to nothing.

And they got a little bit out of Connor Thomas.

Anthony Gose has thrown seven and a third scoreless innings.

We'll talk about him a little bit more in the final segment.

And for the most part, it's worked.

And they have gotten value out of guys that nobody...

in the league was going to give an opportunity to you you cannot convince me that anthony ghost was going to get a shot somewhere other than kansas city i mean the athletics had an opportunity they didn't do that and anthony ghost has been more than okay for the royals he's throwing 97 98 miles an hour he's not going to be on the team next year but it goes to show you that all right maybe a hard throwing lefty is better than having matt strong in the bullpen is better than having bailey falter in the bullpen Connor Thomas, who had one of the ugliest ERAs you could possibly sport as a big leaguer, whether you had a one-inning sample size or 50 innings.

I mean, his ERA was in the high teens or the low 20s, I want to say it was.
