Connor Riley

But for now, speaking of the Crimson Tide, what it's gonna take to win.

Let's talk about that and so much more with Connor Riley here today on Dawg Nation Daily, presented by Servpro.

[upbeat music]

From Athens and across the SEC or wherever the recruiting trail may lead, here's the dawgnation.com insider.

Say hello to Connor Riley.

Always glad to have him as part of the program, and Connor, I'll start with Keelan Russell, 'cause that's where we've been already a lot this week.

On the one hand, some of the effusive praise is a little bit humorous, 'cause it's been so out there in some respects.

wellYep.

How about Isaiah Canyon? We haven't seen a lot of Isaiah Canyon lately.

Uh, that's a guy that we're also-- You know, I don't think there's been any kind of official description of e- even what he's even dealing with, uh, although you can certainly find it online if you want to.

Rumor mill running hot and heavy on things of this nature, but haven't seen a lot of Isaiah Canyon lately.

How about Canyon, Coach? Can we have a chance to see him on Saturday? What can you tell us about that? Once again, Kirby pretty demure on all this going back to Monday.

You're dying to get it so you can write another article about it.

[laughs]

You guys are awesome at following those things up.

I wait for y'all to write them so I can find out about the other team.

Don't have time to play it all for you here right now, but it's worth your time, and everything that Kirby Smart said, I think you'll be convinced it is also true.

I do want to give you one little small part of this because it leads into our, uh, interview with Connor Riley coming up.

Come to find out, Connor has a skill I didn't know he had.

Apparently he speaks a little bit of German, and Hana obviously coming to us by way of Germany, they have a little interaction at the start of this press conference yesterday, which also leads later to a funny moment involving Georgia running back Dwight Phillips.

I'm sure our audience probably wishes I'd speak it better.

Uh, English is all I got.

Uh, but, uh, JJ Hana and our Connor Riley with a little back and forth, uh, bilingually yesterday, so pretty impressive stuff, and we'll talk to Connor about that here coming up in just a moment.

We'll also make that around the doghouse.

So that's what we got ahead of us, and that headlines everything, and it's just gonna be a wonderful weekend of football, no doubt about it.

We got Connor Riley, Dog Nation.

They start the SEC day off a little earlier, 11:00 AM kickout in Fayetteville, taking on a very challenged Arkansas team that had a real rough trip out to Utah, and that was sort of predictable.

It didn't have to be as predictable as it turned out.

Yes, they were.

How it played out and what this schedule is going forward, this, this is a very, very dangerous part of the schedule for Ryan Silverfield and the Hogs, and I, I just think it's a formality of peeling three days off the calendar until Georgia goes up there and opens a can on them.

So Connor Riley, Dog Nation, we'll get it from the Athens perspective as they're heading into, uh, Arkansas.

Jarrett Johnson, he'll be with us hour two, Inside the Red Raiders.
