... who came in here to, to run this program, does pulling him at this point help or hurt your culture? Uh, maybe it helps if, if Connor Moberly is better and, and you have a better chance to win.

But again, maybe it falls apart if, if you show how, you know, hey, we're, we're so fickle, you have a couple of, of rough nights, and we're gonna, we're gonna take your job away from you.

And I think the- If you do maybe want a shot at, like, trying to win some games, I would def-- That's definitely on the table for me.

It's just because, like, you-- we've seen, like, very little bits in the off-season, and you know, and as mentioned, like, in the off-season, like, the coaching staff mentioned how great of a camp Connor Moberly had, which was probably the name that in the quarterback room that I think a lot of the fans wanna see take, uh, more snaps and potentially be the starting quarterback going forward.

And as much as I want that to happen, I, I mean, we're halfway through the season, so at this point it's like, it's pretty no-- I think this is about what you're gonna get out of Jalen Rainer.

But I think Jalen Rainer is only a part of the problem-

The fact that we never saw, I think, Connor Moberly is beyond me.

And if this team gets down by double digits, it's clear to me it's game over.

There's no passing threat whatsoever.

But I do know that as far as being a quarterback, all the off-the-field stuff, the locker room stuff, Rainer is... elite in that regard and I I know the the players absolutely play for him and he's a captain and he's he's earned that so there there are some some of those elements that I think go into the decision which probably make it tough as well and then we just we really don't know Zane Forrest was in the worst situation to be in college football last year.

Showed some flashes, but overall, you look at the big picture of what he did last year, not that impressive.

Connor Moberly hasn't really had any opportunity to show what he can do at this level, so it to me, when you're a team like Iowa State is, which is 3-3, and you're middle of the pack in the Big 12, the most attractive player on any roster is often the backup quarterback.

And I just don't know at this point what Iowa State has.
