In the first period of a three-period podcast, we'll be discussing all the news for the past week in the NHL.

We did have some big news to get into this week as Cale Makar signs the biggest contract in NHL history, and Connor Hellebuyck has officially, officially, uh, requested a trade.

Uh, second period, we'll have a special segment with Dr. Brian Kennedy.

Uh, he's gonna talk about the Summit Series from back in the day, and, uh, basically a hi- a hockey history segment.

I mean, all it takes is one phone call and he's there because there's no reason he can't sign there at the point where he's eligible.

So the other thing about Makar is, and, you know, with respect to the Stanley Cup, since they've won one, that was 2022 when he won the Conn Smythe as well, he doesn't have that pressure.

You, you look at, and I know we're gonna talk at some point about, or I imagine we're gonna talk about Connor Hellebuyck at some point.

Hellebuyck is making his decision in large measure on where he thinks he can win.

He is gonna be back in the number two truck this week for Team Rayum.

Connor Hall, he's back in the number four.

We talked about him a little bit last week for Nice.

Bit of a disappointing run last week unfortunately.

Pit strategy kinda caught him there at the end.

And Connor Hall, don't remember seeing him at all in that race, Rod.

Probably for good reason.

At seven to one because, uh, he finished in 28th, three laps down.
