So we're getting ready to talk about the Atari 8-bit computer because that's what we do here.

We always get started with what we've been up to.

So, Kay, what have you been up to?

Um, yeah.

I mean, Tim Cook and Steve Jobs was not necessarily smooth because Jobs died of cancer, and he basically, they rushed the, uh, succession plan.

And then the previous one was obviously Steve Jobs coming back from bank- well, Apple's near bankruptcy, and Jobs was in the wilderness for a decade, came back to Apple after Apple acquired NeXT, uh, Computer, his, uh, other startup.

So the, uh, Tim Cook, the way...

If you look at the way he structured this transition, he did what he set out to do, which was to make it as smooth as possible, and the iPhone Fold comes up in this conversation.

Um, so through my work, public programming has been really important to developing my thinking about the impact of AI technologies on people and planet.

Um, so a few years ago, um, I ran a, a series called Curator, Computer, Creator.

And these events, we held one at the Barbican in London and one at Cooper Hewitt in, uh, New York, and we invited members of the public into a conversation about what AI might mean for their own lives.

And so the event we held in the Barbican, for example, was called The Long Table, and it's kind of a fac- facilitation format.

They go on a wild goose chase for the air rights.

And so I write back to this guy, and I'm like, by any chance, are you using this on a work laptop, not a personal laptop? He's like, yes, I do all of my work.
