Community development corporation

Oh, absolutely.

Let me talk about my Excel Community Development Corporation, Excel CDC.

Our CDC is phenomenal.

God has really put his hand on that CDC.

We have, well, the school is technically under the umbrella of the CDC.

Okay.

Because the Community Development Corporation is a nonprofit organization.

What does CDC stand for? It's community-

Is it Community Development Corporation?

Yeah.

Mm-hmm.

So we launched a nonprofit, which is called New Vision Urban Impact.

It's a CDC, Community Development Corporation.

It's not a religious organization, but it has a faith-based component, and it's how we developed it.

And the reason we did that is we can get money from grants.

Each one has their own LLC under that.

So they're independent.

So when we have the community development corporation, it has its own bank account.

It has its own different things because you want to keep it separate so you're not crossing over.

But I've been learning.

I have to say, I'm new in this role of community development, and I am learning with great mentors like Anne Winder, who also serves on the Community Development Corporation, that the community needs to get involved, that the community needs to maintain that continuation of the storyline, to maintain the task list of what needs to be done when there's changes in leadership.
