Round of change orders coming in for Brad Hafner Senior and Community Center.

As construction of the Brad Hafner Senior and Community Center at 2982 Lakeview Road in the town of Hamburg ramped up over the spring and summer, construction crews have run into some challenges with the town looking to make revisions to the community center project.

Members of both chambers will vote on a proposal in September.

We have an MA pathway in theology, community and social transformation and courses that explore theology and community development.

In my church at BCC Salford, that's Broughton Community Centre and Broughton Community Church, we talk about and try to demonstrate our love for local communities, for people and God.

Community features in every part of our statement of purpose.

We seek to be in and from the community, for and with the community, as a community, sharing Christ together and with the world.

Yeah.

How does someone make contact? I mean, obviously they can call into the community centre and they can liaise with you in a more direct sense.

They're

actually better off coming down to the centre because I find it's better to have a chat with them, see where they are in their computer skills, what they want to do, and to kind of slot them into a class of equal strength.

And let's talk about fraught areas.

So you would think that community centers, especially community centers for affinity groups and identities, would not be fraught sites.

But unfortunately, I'm seeing evidence of that.

I only have included one, I know of one city and I won't publish who that city is until we get to the city ratings individually in later videos and later weeks.

But I will say that there is at least one community center that's not meeting the moment and it's actually making it worse.

And that's terrible because these community centers are here to give comfort and refuge and even shelter to people who have been kicked out of their primary homes can't get a primary home because of some other reason sometimes it is money sometimes it's their skin tone or their sexual orientation or their gender presentation or identity so all those things are there so I want to challenge my community centers keep doing the work keep doing the conflict resolution know that just because you're doing this type of work where you're talking about diversity equity inclusion that we don't we still need to turn the lens on ourselves and you know be peer evaluators not bullies by any means, because I'm seeing a lot of bullying going on, but peer evaluators and peer support leaders.

I did not give nobody any kind of passing score on the housing front.

And specifically because my housing grade is like basic housing that doesn't exceed 30% of one's income at the poverty level.
