Communications-based train control

First time we had control of a whole railway system, and again, working for the client at that point in time, we were fortunate enough to work with some good suppliers and the Transport for London team.

A little bit of time with Docklands Light Railway, again, working with my first CBTC system, which again, you'll know all about.

and did some work on that again, understanding how CBTC works in an operational railway, as opposed to a little bit of projects development.

That was quite good.

Network Rail, we were looking at, at this point, it was, I think it was the Great Western Railway and the Crossrail surface work.

So again, looking at major railway projects, ETCS level two, new rolling stock, new stations, integration with the CBTC system.

That wasn't in our scope, but obviously one of the big issues there.

And 10 years ago, I got an opportunity to come out to Australia, again, with Network Rail Consulting at the time.
