Committees of the Oireachtas

You're welcome back.

The repercussions of last month's calamitous crash on the M9 continue with two Oireachtas committees today addressing the prevalence of reckless driving.

At the Transport Committee, the Road Safety Authority said there was no single standalone solution to wrong-way driving.

Among those addressing the committee was Pat Marr, who's Director of Network Management with Transport Infrastructure Ireland.

And yet we had...

What did they call it in this morning's This Morning? The blockbuster day of back-to-back hearings before the Oireachtas Committee, which didn't feature Dee Forbes.

Now, we know because the, whether you think it was right or not, for the Mail on Sunday to publish photographs of Dee Forbes socialising during the heatwave in Glandore this summer.

Remember that? But it would clearly indicate that perhaps she's not as sick as she had been for a long period of time and that she could now come before the Public Accounts Committee to answer some questions.

... to say that, "Oh, we, we don't want to put this road map in place," is more the problem.

The steering committee seems to think that the road map is there, and it's ready to roll out, and that's why these special Iraq- special committees were in place for October.

Yeah.

But now it's almost that one parent of the three don't want the road map at all.
