Command & Conquer

This might be a little bit long.

But it was a picture of an infantryman and a tank from Command & Conquer.

And it said, why can't tanks kill infantry easily in this game? And I'm sure you've probably all experienced this, where you have your tank shooting shot after shot at this infantryman.

He's like, he should be dead, OK? So it says, it isn't only down to balance, it's also about value and threat.

And if you want to play that, then sure, go ahead, right? I mean, if you want to get into it, like, you know, tanks have a limited amount of ammunition, right? Like, you know, it would make sense in a game that took itself seriously that, you know, yeah, maybe a tank doesn't want to waste its ammo on infantry, because it literally has a limited amount.

And There's 10 other tanks on the battlefield, right? Or there's 10 other hard targets on the battlefield, and you wouldn't want to waste a shell on six infantrymen.

So I think that the reason why games like Command & Conquer or Tempest Rising or anything aren't doing stuff like that is because, A, it's just not fun, and B, it's just not the kind of game it's looking to be, right? I agree, though, like some of the counters and countering systems of even games like Starcraft, they don't really make sense so much.

But I mean, like at the end of the day, like, you know, the Protoss warrior could have like a freaking bazooka too, right? Like, you know, like and take out, you know, tanks with the bazooka.

I grew up on Command & Conquer, Command & Conquer Red Alert, Age of Empires, the original Star...

starcraft brood war

but age of empires 2 and starcraft brood war took up a ton of time um so those were the games i probably played the most which actually there's a high high crossover high correlation from duke nukem yeah i played that when i was real little um high crossover from people that play real-time strategy games and and got into crypto by the way a lot of starcraft players in crypto a lot of uh yeah still play i played starcraft 2 little bit too much when i was you know close to probably like 18 to 20. uh yeah that's right

Command & Conquer.

Ever heard of those games? They're dead as hell.

I remember that because they tried to make console games

out of that franchise.

And the people that are saying, listen, I will flip my tune if EA comes out and says, we're still making Mass Effect, but when's the last time you saw a Command & Conquer game? When's the last time you saw an NBA Street, NFL Street game?

Yeah, those are great.

Those need to come

Real-time strategy games.

I really like the Command & Conquer series, for example.

But I do also like a lot of retro games.

I've streamed a few, like a couple of Mega Drive games, the odd Super Nintendo game.
