Comedy Bang! Bang!

A man who, despite what you think of him or what your definition of great music is, made just that, great music.

Unlike that music you heard at the top of the show.

That wasn't great music.

That was a preset loop from my Mellotron called New Country Ain't That Bad MK2.

Friends and family of Catherine McCullough are no doubt unsympathetic.

But what do fans of Reggie Watts think? Is Reggie Watts who they thought he was? Or has he been something else all along? To understand, we have to look at how Reggie Watts became Reggie Watts.

Reggie Watts was always a version of the oversized teddy bear his friends watched climb the ranks from Scott Aukerman's underground show Comedy Bang Bang on IFC to James Corden's mainstream Late Late Show on CBS.

Reggie was born in Germany to a French mother and an American Air Force surgeon.

Hmm, thank you to Lil' Prick and the Hypodermics for that catchphrase submission.

Thank you so much to, I'm assuming that's a group? Sounds like a band name.

But welcome to Comedy Bang Bang.

I know about it because there's a...

There's an Andy Daly character on Comedy Bang Bang who talks about Shauna Na a lot.

And that is the only source of my Shauna Na knowledge.

Shauna knowledge, if you will.

Sometimes the best improv is the stuff you write out beforehand.

Actually, Weird Al was on Comedy Bang Bang.

You know, I think that Especially if you're in the comedy scene, you pick up on improv stuff.

But yeah, no, like there's actually, I have a story I could tell a little bit about this, but I think it's more of a push.

Hey everyone, Scott Aukerman here, and welcome to another Bonus Bang, where we are re-releasing great episodes of Comedy Bang Bang out from behind the paywall.

And this week's Bonus Bang is the latest in the series we've been calling Mind Your Own Business, where we feature the entrepreneurs and small business owners that make up so many of our guests on this show, who come on and promote their innovative products and services.

Now, this episode is called Hot Yogurt.

And it stars SNL alum and deadpan comedy legend Kevin Nealon, who is here to talk about his YouTube show, Hiking with Kevin.

And Yogi is played by the always hilarious Lily Sullivan.

This episode was originally released on September 8th, 2019 as episode 618.

And before you listen to it, I want to tell you we have the big final performance of the Comedy Bang Bang Ground Beefing Tour happening at the end of the year in San Diego.

Yeah, honestly, it's all perspective, like the Indiana Jones boulder.

I met a Comedy Bang Bang fan while I was sitting at the Eiffel Tower.

I'm so sorry.

Was it me? Fucking sucked.

I'm a freak in the sheets, a mack in the sack, a chap in the flaps, and a mensch in the stenchy, clenchy wench trench.

Now, um, we recently just announced it, we have a big final performance of the Comedy Bang Bang Ground Beefing Tour happening at the end of the year in San Diego.

It's gonna be on Saturday, December 12th, at the beautiful Balboa Theater.

We look forward to seeing all of you out there.

Robbie is played by Andrew Steven Hernandez, who's been in Marriage Story, Vietnan American Crime.

Um, the police officer is Scott Aukerman, Comedy Bang Bang, Between Two Ferns.

Um, the, uh, Jim is played by Jack Lancaster, Shining Girls, Vipers.

Steve is Spencer Treat Clark, Animal Kingdom, Agent Shield, Another World.

Tiny Tim is played by Dmitri Martin, which I think is really fun 'cause I loved Important Things with Dmitri Martin.

But I also didn't know he voiced, uh, like, one of the main characters in We Bare Bears, and that's fun.

Gallagher is played by Paul F. Tompkins, BoJack Horseman, Comedy Bang Bang.

He was also in Tenacious D.
