But when he eventually gets going in the second act, some of the emotional choices that he made just broke me.
Mickey JoHOST

I was reminded of seeing the Come From Away pro shot and Jenn Colella stopping herself from crying during one of the early phone calls in the show while playing Beverly Bass, and it being this gutting moment that I wasn't expecting.
Mickey JoHOST

Patrick Page did that for me after Epic III, when he is deciding what to do and he's singing, "The devil take this Orpheus and his Belladonna Kiss." And it's his very measured, thoughtful delivery of the final lines of this section when he says, "Doubt, doubt comes in." And he reflects on it as he's saying it, and it's clearly the voice of experience.

so it's so interesting you know i'm a huge broadway person i've seen come from away three or four times my family has all seen it several times we love the music and with the anniversary approaching there has been a lot written about it because it's by far the most popular piece of art related to september 11th the musical's been hugely successful it was turned into a movie one of the the women who tells her story and come from away is also featured in the 9 11 museum which i know you recently visited we had visited a while ago so it's so good but the female pilot in that story also talks about how piloting.
Cindy BurnettHOST
18:51
She made her way as a female pilot and then 9-11 ripped the love of flying away from her for a little while.
Cindy BurnettHOST
18:59
I mean, this is all told in the book and then in the musical.
Kelly HookerGUEST
19:08
And in captain nia gilliam's case she saw this unfold and they were still told to take off because it was still unclear what was happening but she had just seen this tragedy unfold and yet like life had to continue there was no ground order at that time and so they're like okay here we go
Cindy BurnettHOST
