The gift cards, for whatever reason, um, did not create a flag with this particular card.

Um, it was a Comdata card.

And, uh, they, uh, I had previously sold personal gift cards.

I, I wound up...

But as far as me and, and other owner-operators, it ain't gonna do a damn thing for us, 'cause I don't have access to co-ops.

I could go there, but they, you know, they're probably, number one, not gonna accept a Comdata card, and if I fuel up with a, with a credit card, uh, I just don't carry, you know, 1,200 bucks around cash with me every-

... every other day.

I, you know, anything that we can get things cheaper, you know, that's fine with me.

But, uh, when you, when you look at it, you know, it's, you know, they only cater to a certain group.

I mean, uh, you know, uh, you know, I'd love to be able to fuel up at one, 'cause their fuel's usually a little bit cheaper, you know, but, uh, the only time I've ever, you know, w- I've seen them on our fueling, uh, uh, you know, like through Comdata, I'll get on their, uh, little website sometimes, say, you know, "Can you fuel up over here at the MFA?" And they may have a, a listing there what the fuel costs there.

You pull in there to say, "Hey, you know, can I fuel up?" "Nope.

And so what companies are doing AP automation? And it just so happened to turn out to provide that commercial card credit card issuers corporate card issuers were starting to leverage a new technology or new variation of cards called virtual cards where you could create an instant single use 16 digit number they were leveraging that technology to enable businesses to pay dozens or thousands of vendor invoices at one time using credit card rails instead of paper checks.

So that's what kind of got me into the credit card world is I went and worked for a commercial card provider called Comdata for a little while.

And then I ended up going over to Capital One around the time that they were launching their first commercial card business.

So kind of get in at the ground with that where I spent a few years.
