um so yeah okay my number two is the only firearm on this list um because i want you know it's historical weapons sure it's not just you know hand-to-hand weapons but but historical um i could have a whole separate list that's just firearms just because i'm i i grew up the child of a gun nut i am kind of a gun nut you know um the colt walker 1847 revolver

Is this the one that Dean and Sam use? I'm going to get to that in a second.

So the 1847, the Colt Walker, is the first successful six shooter.

Now, it is not the first revolving cylinder revolver.

No.

which was carried by cavalry troopers and officers on both sides of the Civil War, in greater numbers by the Union, but it showed up on both sides.

And every modern revolver is either a descendant, another colt, like the Python, which the Python is famous as being the weapon of Dirty Harry, or it's a response like the Chiapa Rhino or anything by Smith and Wesson.

You look at the history of the United States and westward expansion, what was out there? Well, eventually it was the revolver.

You know, the Colt Walker.

Mm-hmm.

The, the 1860 Army, the 1873 Single Action Colt.

On October 9th, 1847, Captain Samuel Walker was killed in action in Mexico, presumably with his Colt revolvers by his side.

And so, of the 1,000 military Colt Walkers made and the 100 guns produced for the civilian market, Captain Walker's personal pair of pistols are the only examples that he ever saw before he was killed in battle.

Soon after, the Walker was replaced by a parade of different Colt Dragoon models, often otherwise known as the Model 1848, that endeavored to fix the predecessor's shortcomings.

It didn't take long for the 1,100 Colt Walkers to enter the annals of gun history.

In the first half of the 20th century, when gun collecting as a whole was beginning to take shape, Colt Walkers had already established themselves as key pieces to any Western, military, or Colt collection.

By the mid-20th century, the outlaw Josie Wales, starring Clint Eastwood, helped keep the allure of the gun alive for another half century.

And in 2021, Texas Governor Greg Abbott named the Colt Walker to be the official handgun of Texas.

I understand how those things could happen over time.

How could Colt Walker one fall off a cliff? How could da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da?

I don't understand how you can get traded mid-season while having a good season, come here and be that bad.

It just doesn't make sense.
