So today I've got two headlines for you, but first I would love to deep dive into a woman named Yvonne Missy Woods, whose actions can only be described as devastating.

Yvonne is a former state forensic scientist who worked for the Colorado Bureau of Investigation for 29 years, and she was initially facing 102 felony charges.

52 counts of forgery, 48 counts of attempting to influence a public servant, one count of first-degree perjury, and one count of cybercrime.

All adding up to a grand total of 102.

And as she was being taken away, some of the people in the courtroom who believed they were victims of her faulty DNA work walked out saying, liar, liar, liar.

That was a chant.

So after nearly 30 years of working with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, Missy Woods left the courtroom that day not as one of Colorado's most trusted forensic scientists, but as an inmate.

You know, there's a whole lot of speculation online about whether Missy might have been involved in the JonBenet Ramsey case.

He was also carrying an army knapsack.

The one time star witness for the Colorado Bureau of Investigation got 10 years in prison last week.

She pled guilty to four felonies for tampering with evidence.

Now prosecutors are seeking restitution to cover the expenses that CBI spent on an audit and the retesting of evidence.

Now, back in 2023, Yvonne was in her 29th year on the job.

As a 63-year-old, she was a veteran of the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, working as a forensic laboratory scientist at the CBI labs that are located in Jefferson County.

This includes the Arvada Lab and the Lakewood Lab.

She had started there in January of 1994, after five previous years at the Wyoming State Crime Laboratory, where she handled 462 cases between roughly 1988 and 1993, doing some of the older forensic work that focused on blood samples and biological fluids, hairs and fibers, determining if a stain was human or animal.
