Colony House

So, I don't know.

Matt Carney, I feel like sometimes I classify it as if Jesus Freak Hideout is covering it, then I just see them as like, it's like Colony House.

They cover Colony House.

I can say, yeah, they're Christian at Jace.

There's something going on there.

One of my favorite songs has a line that explains that feeling for me.

It's called This Beautiful Life by Colony House.

And it says, I'm part of something that's bigger than me, that I'm a page in a book in a library.

And being a page in a book in a library is kind of what I feel like that experience did for me was it zoomed out so far of like the world and different people and cultures and languages and experiences and it kind of changed me for for the good but also like forever like I could never go back to just seeing my world as the only world and my life as something um at the center of it but I mean as a as a kid traveling was so exciting all the airports and all the people and all of the new places and new foods and to see it was it was so exciting and I only remember it with just like joy like that's really the only emotion that comes to mind when I think of that time it was so joyful and my mom will laugh at that because for her it was a lot more stressful yeah

And I mean, I'm throwing that out there for free.

If you're a band out there like Colony House and Gable Price and Friends, if you just have four people in your band, you could be that.

Interesting idea.

I could see something like that happening in the 90s, big time.

And then, and I don't know, I just felt like there were some bands that during that time it was like, well, this band's really not Christian, but this band gets like a pass.

And I don't know.

I think that's just, I think that's an interesting dive into like, to me, it's funny that, um, I don't know, even now I was telling someone the other day, like I mentioned colony house, um, And I was like, you know, there's a lot of their music that doesn't come right out and say like they're Christian or whatever.

But I'm like, there's music they play.

We call ourselves the Riser Boys because we're the two band members on Risers, and he's awesome.

I used to play for Colony House, that band.

He was based out of here, and then I came over here with us with Jordan, I think in 2022.
