College Mathieu

Those sisters arrived in 1915, but the father didn't stop there.

By 1918, the missionary Oblate sisters of the Sacred Heart and Mary Immaculate also joined the community, along with what is now known as the College Mathieu, both to help educate the Francophone community and the strong Catholic faith again.

Then in 1919, a Romanesque cathedral known as the Our Lady of Assumption Co-Cathedral nowadays was built.

And let me tell you, if you've never been inside, I highly recommend taking the tour of the cathedral because the murals inside, they were painted by a resident priest between 1921 and 1931.
