in the pipeline for a while so it's neat that we're finally actually getting something on screen in live action um how that actually plays out and what this establishes for the future of the franchise and how it you know may give context i mean it could even give context to the sequel trilogy so i want to answer questions with that with that those three movies that we might actually make more sense after this show

Yeah, I will say, you know, no disrespect intended to Colin Trevorrow or Derek Connolly and what they did with the Duel of the Fates script, which there's a lot in there that I like.

I am glad that the continuation of Mortis the next time we see Mortis after the Clone Wars, I am glad it's Dave doing it.

You hate it because of Colin Trevorrow.

No, I know, but, like, the lift is easier because people just, they go to the movie and they see the movie, whereas, like, with this, it's like, ah, shit, I gotta go back and play all the Mass Effects before Mass Effect 5, you know, like...

If you want to make the argument that the industry's real fucked, then I will co-sign that all day long.

But I think, though, he's got an audience.

And I think that if you're any, well, it wouldn't have been overreaction if it was the studios won't touch snyder if it's anything over 150 million dollars or more over over 80 million dollars or more it's like all right listen you want to do another one your audience is excited to see it you got a new idea because if you wanted to do another one of those zombie movies or something else for netflix they're like okay let's give it another shot can you do it for like 60 or 70 million dollars i don't think just because i mean colin trevorrow's working again and he went he he did that um He went from Jurassic World, had a huge thing, then he did Book of Henry that only he and one other person liked, and then he was doing movies again.

So it's because he made a billion-dollar movie before that, and Zack Snyder has a very dedicated audience.

So if you're a streaming service, you go, okay, we'll give you 60, do this original idea, sure.

I thought that was a fun movie.

I can never not think whenever we bring up Colin Trevorrow, I can never not think about the time he came into Collider.

And I believe he was on Christian show and he was talking about he just got Star Wars and he was like, hey, honey, we're going to look for a new home.

But then he directed Episode IX, The Rise of Skywalker.

I don't even put the blame on Abrams for that movie because Colin Trevorrow was supposed to direct it.

He directed, like, Jurassic World and stuff like that.

He backed out of it for whatever reason.
