Cole Hauser

Well, this, uh, this movie has an interesting cast.

I forgot that Cole Hauser was in this.

Hmm.

Now is, like, known to play Rip in Yellowstone and then, um, Dutton Ranch and things like that.

Maynard isn't the only celebrity slinging coffee these days.

Cole Hauser, yeah, Rip from Yellowstone, also has his own java brand.

Back in 2023, he and a couple friends teamed up with a family that's been roasting beans in San Angelo, Texas for nearly three decades.

And just like that, bam, Free Rein Coffee was born.

Now, the seats next to us are empty, at least they were for a couple minutes, and then from the backstage area out strolls a crew with all access passes and that unmistakable we belong here vibe, you know? And leading the pack, Matthew McConaughey, who years later would pop up on my podcast.

With him was his buddy, who I'm almost certain was Cole Hauser.

Not 100%.

But then, equally, there were rumours that he and Rip had come to blows on the set, or nearly come to blows, to be fair, I don't think they actually hit each other, because you hit Rip, you die.

But, yeah, apparently, they got very fraught between Cole Hauser and Taylor Sheridan.

Well, I had read there was a bit of a thing between them, and it was something to do with coffee copyright or something.

Really? Coffee? Yeah, back when they were doing Yellowstone.

The actor is Cole Hauser, however you pronounce it.

Well, this time we're talking about the difference between a California cool guy and a Texas cowboy no BS director slash showrunner.

It's Cole Hauser, a.k.a. Rip Wheeler from Yellowstone, and Taylor Sheridan, his big boss man.

Of course it's Taylor Sheridan.

Why does he always have issues with the stars?

Yeah, it was Taylor Sheridan and obviously Kevin Costner.

Well, now recently we're getting some details, including the fact that at one point people close to the situation say it nearly went to blows between Cole Hauser and Taylor Sheridan.

Again, kind of how I described it.

Despite his role as Rip Wheeler, I guess Cole Hauser is very much like surfer dude, California guy.
