narratively the game is really cool like the vampires are cool i think the lore in the world is really cool there's this weird bugaboo though that gets to me so like okay so you're like a vampire right like you suck blood you see all kinds of crazy shit like witches and demons and stuff But constantly, even, like, many hours into the game, Coen, the main character, will see something weird and be like, oh, this is horrible.

What kind of monster could have done this? Like, bro, you turn into a vampire at night.

Like, you've eaten people.

So your mind is constantly racing, which is, well...

I could go over here I could go there actually I quite like this character let's just pursue that even though it's going to come at the cost of exploring over here so on and so forth that being said you're given 30 days and 30 nights it's plenty of time to see a lot of what's in this game but you're not going to see it all unless you're some you know unless you break the game I think there is a PC mod that removes the time system from it which kind of defeats the purpose of the game because it totally engrosses you in Coen's journey effectively but for me you get like this cool little system in there which is basically you've got your big bad brensis right he's big bad vampire right for those that are uninitiated or vrikiri as they're known right but big bad vampire is what we're going with right and he has his court you've got a few other ones the three generals effectively effectively sorry and basically you've got to do is take them out bit by bit and if you want to you could do a breath of the wild and just go straight for Brensis you're gonna have a bad time you know you're gonna get your ass handed to you by the old guy so what I've done is I've looked to go around them bit by bit take out the coat and get rid of these stooges effectively as well as a couple of the mainline threads as well which has just been such a joy because all of these coat members they're kind of propped up by little activities in the map and you know me i like an activity on a map marker there but the more you do the more their anger level increases and once they get full pissed off then the quest line opens and you get to basically have the opportunity to take them on and it's very very simple very a kind of something like a far cry almost or even like a crackdown there's those little elements in there to kind of pull away but it's totally optional you don't have to do it recommend you do because it's really cool quests that open up and every path that i'm taking here it just feels rewarding like you can tell that the main quest writer from the witcher 3 has been working on this you know it's that rhythm of action and then the story dialogue i feel is just balanced incredibly well you know and that leads me on to the combat side of things as well you know this was something else i was wary about going into it but i the more I played and it didn't take long.

I just continue just to appreciate this more and more to the point I would love it if any type of medieval fantasy type based RPG has this system.

It's doing it in a way that I think Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 would probably be benefiting from taking a few notes.

And I have to say, the world and all that is just the right size.

Voice acting is superb.

The guy that does Coen, his name's totally escaping me, just sounds like Tom Hiddleston as Loki.

Once you hear it, you can't unhear it.

There's one character who says in her age she can't do this and that and everything, and she looks about the same age as me.

Coen the main character and he's got to be like in his 20s so it's like there's some things that it's like it doesn't make a whole lot of sense because they like their character faces just don't look quite right Gotcha.
