Yeah, and that's like high for me, 'cause he had 130 yards against U- against West Virginia-

And now you have this new team with 10 new players from s- seven from foreign countries.

But the mainstay, Arianna Jackson, who, uh, Bill Fennelly said, you know, really, really doesn't receive the amount of attention she deserves, um, uh, she will, uh, this season I think because of what she represents as a legacy Cyclone and, and coming back from f- shooting 44% from three.

But Bill is, um, he's adapted, I think, better than I think most people would've thought to the NIL world and all of that.

As fiery as he was on the sideline, still fiery, but it was a different world, you know, you go back 10, 15, 20 years ago.

So, like, last week Iowa State I was kinda in on Amari Haase 'cause I thought slot receivers maybe had a good matchup.

He did okay, but Cody Jackson had a really good game out wide.

I think you can-- It doesn't really matter what receiver positions these guys are lining up.

I didn't really find an edge there.

So if that's truly the case, then some of the data would certainly support a lot of the struggles that West Virginia's defense has had it's good that I would say put a beating on them like they did but now they have to continue to build on that performance I do think that starts up front with the offensive line

wasn't just Flora who had that big game last week Jalen Rayner had a solid performance 264 yards through the air through a touchdown pass Cody Jackson with a strong game as well how much is the pass offense for Iowa State essential for them finding some success tonight against BYU

Yeah, I think that's really interesting.

I feel like they've started to kind of understand their personnel and understand what the players are good at a little bit more than they did early in the season.

He keeps creeping back up into this thing.

And Cody Jackson I haven't even brought up, who just had one of the best games by an Iowa State wide receiver in the last 10 years.

So listen, um, I'm not down on the offense.

I'm gonna sell the offense just because I don't think it can live up to what we saw last week because at B- ...

Um, but, uh, you know, we'll see if he can amp it up a little bit.

I d- I, glimmers of hope, I think the addition of tempo, I think Cody Jackson thrives in tempo.

That's what brought him alive in this offense after going without receptions for a couple games.

Gets the three in a row, uh, whatever, against Bowling Green, or, uh, Utah, and then, um, you know, explodes.

Now he does what he did last week.

He's gonna be at the top of the scouting report.

Cody Jackson's gotta get up there.

Dom Overby, some of the most important plays in the game I think were made by him.

the other point I would make is that Cody Jackson had one of the great wide receiver games in the last five years-

... for Iowa State.

And that's what teams are gonna do, and that's what we'll see from now on.

Anyways, looking for, uh, looking to what this offense needs to do ahead, um, it's, it's simple for me.

You have to have the ability to run the football still.

It, it is the key factor in, you know, letting guys like Cody Jackson and Dom wherever he get the ball, is you have to stop us to run first, and BYU's absolutely.

If I was BYU, I'd say, "Ha, you're not running the ball on us.
