Cody Carnes

He had long hoarded the attention of some of the most influential evangelical Christian worship leaders.

In November 2018, his administration invited worship leaders such as Kerry Jobe, Cody Carnes, Torrin Wells, and Danny Gokey to the White House.

I sat there with tears in my eyes because these beautiful people get up daily and go to work in a governmental facility and think about people, you and me.

They pray and seek God for wisdom for people, Job said at the time.

It's been incredible.

I'm just so thankful to be part of this today and to see what God's doing in our White House.

Cody Carnes agreed, his face glowing on camera.

There are so many good things happening out of this house.

Yeah, for sure.

Because when you love and when you get to walk with people for more than just a season or two um and when you respect the way they carry the call of God and you watch their faithfulness when no one's watching um I'll just tell you, you know, I know a lot of people, they look at Cody and Carrie and, and, oh, they're so, they're so great and so anointed.

And, uh, you know, I feel like the woman with Solomon, the half has not been told.

And when it's better behind closed doors than it is

It makes me think of, I mean, you guys know my story.

I don't talk about it a lot, but the, you know, when I left gateway, went out to Scottsdale, the Lord said, I'm taking you to the backside of the mountain and your job is to be impossible to find.

and I'm coming out of this, at the time, it was one of the fastest growing churches in the country, and there are these expectations, and Cody's with me, and we've got Gateway's name, and da, da, da, da.

How could we lose? And people are saying, you guys are gonna start with 1,000 people on day one, and Cody and I are like, it doesn't seem like that's what God is doing.

When I think about The Blessing, I'm like, first of all, I don't ever wanna sing it because [laughs] I'm never gonna do it justice.

But it was a song that was written by Cody Carnes, Elevation Worship, Kari Jobe, and it came out in 2020, which makes perfect sense because I remember this song just blowing up at that time.

People just obsessed with this song.

I know I was.

And we bring in the best speakers and musicians on the earth.

I mean, literally, Taya from Hillsong United, Kerry Jobe, Cody Carnes, we've brought in Elevation Rhythms coming this summer.

We bring in You know, Louis Giglio and just all these different speakers.

We had your grandkids come out to it for the first time.

I love it.

So today, guys, we have got Cody Carnes, worship leader extraordinaire, joining us, husband, father, and single digit handicapper.

So let's just get out there, man.

Yeah, like just getting serious about the game.

Now I think this will be our seventh year.

I'm pretty sure.

And it's, it's a, it's me and him and a bunch of other worship leaders and, and, And, and it's so much fun.

There's like eight of us now.

He won't.

And ladies and gentlemen, that was Chandler Moore and Cody Carnes, Christ is my firm foundation, He won't fail.

You know, every morning here on LFA TV, we start on a firm foundation as well.

This is our firm foundation for this network.

And I wanted to wrap up Monday School this week with a great song about running to Jesus and experiencing the relationship and not just the rules or the religion of Jesus.

It's Cody Carnes, Run to the Father.

[gentle music] I've carried a burden.

For too long on my own.

It may have been two or three hours, something like that, before the memorial even started, of worship, and they had the worship leader giants.

I mean, they had, uh, they had Cody Carnes, Kari Jobe.

Uh, they, they had, uh, Phil Wickham, Chris Tomlin, Brandon Lake, and so many more.

And it was just, to see tens of thousands of people worshiping the Lord like that was just incredible.

It was like, it was a long time.

It was, it, it was just amazing.

And I wanna include just a short clip of Cody Carnes and Kari Jobe because, oh my gosh, it, you'll see why I'm including it

[upbeat music] Who else is worthy? Who else is worthy? There is no one, only Jesus.
