Cody Caldwell

Um, Cody and Kamer, another team.

Uh, Cody Caldwell, Cam Schoch, they'd only played together once before.

That was in Gstaad, where they qualified with a win over Louis Vuist and Niels Ehlers.

That one aged well, as Louis and Niels, they win Hamburg.

And so tomorrow, I'll be jumping in the main draw.

Uh, right now we're seeded 10 to play Cody Caldwell.

Of course, of course I'd be playing Cody.

Just played Hermosa with him and came shock.

Love playing Hermosa when I get the chance to.

Uh, appreciate Cody Caldwell for, uh, running it back, uh, with me for this one.

Uh, as we grabbed our, uh, our 13th place finish, bowed out, made Saturday.

Uh, got on the columns with Matt Prosser and, uh, and kind of did the thing from there.

I love that they got this win, and you know what? I'm gonna go ahead and predict another dub next week, well, this week, this weekend in Laguna, if there's enough beach left.

Uh, so the AVP season finale of their major tournaments, uh, is in Laguna this weekend, uh, but there's a hurricane off the coast that the swells are big.

The waves were unseasonably huge in Hermosa, and from what I'm hearing, I play with Cody Caldwell, he's a, an Orange County guy, and he's saying there's not a whole lot of beach.

Um, I've played that tournament a lot.

Uh, I'm recording this, uh, clearly in our, uh, Tallahassee offices here.

Um, on Wednesday when you are listening to this, I will be on a flight to Hermosa, uh, playing with my boy Cody Caldwell.

Uh, took last year off.

I forget where I was.

Now, I'll still provide coverage, I'm pretty sure, of the Hermosa Open.

I'll be playing that one with Cody Caldwell, so I'll be out there.

Probably do kind of a preview recap of that, but then after that, there's, there's nothing on the schedule, uh, for a pretty long time.

Volleyball World still sort of waiting for that update from them.

Um, and that's not even, like, that's just, that's just, it- it made that upper bracket an AVP contender series.

That, those were the, those are the teams that play in contender series.

But when you have Chase and Trev, the number one seed, not there, yeah, it, it feels super strange because then Cody Caldwell and Jacob Laboulaye, well, now they're playing Chase and Trev in the, the third match of the tournament for elimination.

You have a lot of teams that, that, a lot of bad draws happen.
