many times in projects in Africa or in the Middle East and these are always projects that are in the reign of information design, data journalism, creating digital tools for civic technology.

What is civic technology? Are digital tools that can help citizens And these are projects that often have been done under the umbrella of an organization called Code for Africa, which produces these platforms, websites, where maybe, I don't know, a citizen in Kenya can check their municipality and can check how much the expenditure is.

So these are tools that should empower people, citizens, whether it's to give you more information about where you live, about how you can... make accountable your political representatives using data and using digital technologies.

So with Jacopo, we started working together on projects like this when I spent a couple of years as a freelance designer in Code for Africa.

And then that's where we started to think about a new type of collaboration that could be longstanding, where we put together our heads.
