Just, uh, just talk about kinda the difference that, uh, that a year can make.

Uh, yeah, I mean, last year, I was in the rain literally trying to figure out how to put a serve in the court.

Um, and it's a much different experience being able to play and to like, "Oh, I'm gonna go for an ace on this point" more so than saying, like, "Oh, I'm hoping to make it in." Um, and it's just been a whirlwind of just lots of hours on the practice court, tears, happiness, all the combined things that a lot of people just don't see.

But grateful to my team for, like, holding me down and, you know, making sure that the happiness was my number one priority, and, um, and just being able to minimize the moment as much as possible.

And, you know, I didn't think that there would ever be a end-

Tell, tell me about these media projects that you've now gotten into.

Yeah.

I have two short docs on, uh, Tennis Channel.

Yeah.

She's, I mean, they're both, Belinda and her, are both great people off the, on and off the court.

But she came up to me and said that was, like, some of the best tennis [laughs] she's seen me play, and, um, we've had our battles against each other, so I was like, okay, maybe I am in the right direction.

[laughs] And playing Belinda, who I think grass favors her more in that match up, so, um, I feel like that's the match where it started to click.

And I think I, you know, even though I had the disappointment at Wimbledon, I, you know, I went to sleep that night and I was like, I f- feel like I'm in the right direction.

And now I'm like, regardless of what happens, you know, at US Open, I, I do feel like I'm headed in the right direction, and I can feel myself becoming more of a complete player.

So yeah, and these match ups only give me more confidence.

[laughs]

She blamed the wind.

(laughs) Those comments did...

I was a little bit surprised, um, by them, but like at the end of the day, I mean it... what happened, happened.

I won because I, I earned that win and we both had to play in the wind.

We both had to deal with those conditions.

I didn't feel great on the court at all.

I went down 4-1.

As you reflect on where you are right now in your career, how good do you feel you can be? When we talk about the all-time greats, are you thinking about those things? Do you have those things in your mind right now or is it just a match by match, year by year basis for you at this point?
