Cockshutt 40

And, uh, um, so, um, we built our first mo- I built my first modified tractor in 1972.

It was a Cockshutt 40 with a 396 carbureted motor in it, Chevy motor in it, and that was a kind of a standard back in the day.

So you know, I was there right at the early transition of, of you know, you know, the farm tractors going into mod tractors.

Well, I heard your, your uncle kicked you off his tractor.

And I kept that hood after, you know, uh, we left the farm and I, and I got into doing what I'm doing now.

And so, um, I, I just had this wild hair.

And another thing that's kinda neat about that tractor, I bought a Cockshutt 40 off of a dairy farm around in Harrisonburg, Pennsylvania, and this poor old tractor was so used up.

I pretty much rebuilt everything on it.
