Cobb County School District

Yeah, especially, like, Michael Garza's a friend of mine.

He's someone we've campaigned together a lot over the last year, and I had done some volunteering with him even previously when he ran for the seat, and the momentum, what's going on in Cobb County Schools is this whole other thing, and, like, I'm partial to education.

I haven't worked in that field, but, like, We need to get him in.

And so I'm encouraging people to vote all the way down.

Absolutely.

Is like, how are we utilizing dollars? Because to your point.

Property taxes fund Cobb County schools.

People above 55 get an exemption.

I don't-- I, I wanna say that I don't get political, but then I also have to remember that reading is political, that my mere existence as a Black woman is political, so therefore, I'm going to say something political here.

The superintendent of Cobb County Schools is a Republican, a Republican who gleefully invited and had the current occupant of the White House come to his school system and speak to his students.

This is also an occupant, a man, the current occupant of the White House.

He invited someone who has also been convicted, not, not accused, convicted of sexual assault to speak to his student.

We do.

And we start off with a question about an email that some people received from Cobb County Schools in their town hall newsletter.

Here's the email.

I'm definitely a fangirl.

This program is so vital.

I would like to ask, is Cobb County School Board allowed to circulate a campaign ad and personal campaign fundraiser solicitation for any school board member to the parents and caregivers mailing list of Cobb County Schools District? Signed, Snuffleupagus.

Snuffleupagus was my favorite.

He really was my favorite.
