When things got crazy, they needed to break out.

Georgia rewards travelers willing to explore both its genteel coastal charm and its rugged mountain interior in equal measure.

Savannah's historic squares make for a genuinely magical walking and driving loop, with oak-lined streets dripping in Spanish moss connecting more than 20 separate park-like plazas throughout downtown.

The Golden Isles Coastal Drive links St. Simons Island and Jekyll Island, passing marshland and maritime forest along the way at a genuinely relaxed pace.

The Richard Russell Scenic Highway climbs through the North Georgia mountains, offering sweeping overlooks across the southern Appalachians that most visitors never expect from this part of the state.

And the Antebellum Trail winds through preserved plantation-era towns between Macon and Athens, a genuinely reflective drive through the state's complicated history.

North Georgia's mountain roads bring more winding curves and elevation change.

So plan extra time if you're heading up toward the Blue Ridge foothills.

Coastal Georgia is flat and easy driving throughout.

Um, it was a bit of a hot potato of an idea, um, probably why, 20 years later, nothing like it has been created.

Gold Coast is a beach city famous for surfing, shopping and theme parks。Coast，C-O-A-S-T，coast是海岸的意思。黄金海岸呢，有整片的沙滩，那最有名的就是 Surfers Paradise，冲浪者天堂。除了无敌海景之外呢，还有购物商场跟主题乐园，是全家度假的首选。

A national park is a big natural area protected by the government。National是国家，park是公园。合起来 national park 就是国家公园。是政府为了保护大自然、特殊地形跟文化遗产而设置的区域，不可以随便开发跟破坏哦。

Together, the literal meaning is the shore of the sea.

In everyday Chinese, 海岸 refers to the land where the sea meets the shore.

It's commonly used when talking about geography, travel, beautiful scenery, or coastal cities.

Compared with 海边, which often refers to a place where people relax or spend time, 海岸 sounds a little more formal and is frequently used when describing the coastline itself.

For example, It means, we walked along the coast.

This is a very natural sentence that you could easily hear when people are talking about a vacation or describing a pleasant afternoon by the sea.

I am your host, Alicia Helmrich, and today we are here to discuss the Shell to Shore Initiative.

Shell to Shore collects and recycles oyster shells from all around the state of Georgia to build oyster reefs as green infrastructure projects along the coast in conjunction with a diligent and energetic group of volunteers, partners, and collaborators.

These oyster reefs mitigate erosion and coastal flooding.

Shell to Shore works to preserve the coastline, raise awareness about the benefit of recycling oyster shells, and help safeguard the livelihood and culture of those most closely tied to the coast.

And so today we have a handful of guests with us who are related to the Shell to Shore project.

And these include Tyler Leslie, the executive director and co-founder, Hunt Revel, president and co-founder, Nick Heiden, Director of Education.

And we also have with us from UGA, Brock Woodson.
