you back to running and this week I decided to get out there and do another long run despite completing a half marathon the fact that I walked for part of the second half makes me feel like I didn't fully complete it so I decided to get out there and do a 16 kilometer run the same distance as I did pre-half marathon to prove I still had it in me to run a significant distance and Rather than gels and energy bars, I decided to pack some skittles and took myself to Clumber Park in North Nottinghamshire and set off in torrential rain.

Hmm, so, a bit of a problem here.

And there was some great content in there, British Podcast Award winning content if I'm honest.

It was me getting pelted with rain, nearly choking on a skittle, bumping into a couple of ultra-distance runners doing laps on the lake, and me ultimately completing the run.

Um, but yeah, we've, um...

The, the backup was we could either go to Clumber Park, which is probably about 15 minutes away from us, um, as another venue, which doesn't get as windy.

Uh, or very worst case, it would've been, uh, possibly moving up to Leeds, uh, to God's Own, um, and running the event there.

Um, thankfully so far it's looking like it's gonna be fine for the whole week.

Anyway, so I said to her, "Oh, we could go here or here," but I know she likes going for a walk or a hike.

And I said, "I'll go for a, a hike if you want." And she was like, "Really?" I said, "Yeah." So then a couple of days go by, neither of us have done anything about the Saturday meeting, and then she texts me and said, "We're gonna meet at Clumber Park at midday.

We're doing this all-trails hike.

That's nice.

So that's what we did.

We went to Clumber Park, which is one of the nicest National Trusts.

We don't have a lot of National Trust in Lincolnshire.
