Club of the year

Yeah, there's, I think, eight players from, you know, nominated from a player perspective.

Their manager is in Manager of the Year, Club of the Year, Barcelona.

So from a Spain and Barcelona perspective and the players, it's young players getting nominated as well.

It's just that they're recognised globally every single time.

They sweep the entire Ballon d'Or Awards.

Mm-hmm.

youth player, ball on door, coach of the year, whatever it's gonna be, club of the year, they're constantly nominated.

I wonder, it makes me look at other countries even,

I'm feeling slightly better about it um yeah and then I came home and had a lovely breakfast and because we started in um wave three it didn't mean we were done really early we'd were done and met up um and on our way home again by about half 10 and got off the tube and cheating about just after 11 I think which was the earliest I've ever been back from a race I was thrilled because then you have the whole rest of the day

didn't mean an early alarm clock this morning but yes it was lovely to be back and like not have taken up the whole day but then I've also been completely useless this afternoon so I might as well have been out but yeah so funny that since we spoke to Trojan I just um you know sort of seeing him around like on the emails we met him at the England Athletics Regional Volunteer Awards um was it last weekend really nice to meet him in person he probably thinks I'm a complete nutter because the first thing I said to him was like oh you smell really nice amazing um so that was really nice to see him and tooting round club became runner-up for club of the year which is an amazing achievement

yes yeah this was the um london regional volunteer awards wasn't it so yeah the second best in london um in our category which is amazing yeah um So yeah, definitely something to be really, really proud of.

And it was just a lovely evening celebrating all things running.

I think, listen, there's a lot of things at the football club you can have a pop at.

And I know sometimes when the club wins Family Excellence Award or Club of the Year for the AFL Community Club of the Year, people misinterpret that and think that that's about how the club's being run from top to bottom it isn't it's about how inclusive the football club is how caring the football club is about the young fans how caring they are about equality diversity and inclusion and it's always been something that's been really prominent on the forum it's always been something that the club have wanted actively to address and discuss and i never personally felt that the there was ever a topic or a theme that was in the media or it would have happened at one of the games, it never was a case of let's not talk about that today.

It was actively, let's put that on the agenda that needs discussing.

I always thought they really did stand up for things like that.
