Dave ShepardsonCORRESPONDENT
7:02
If the FCC approves this, it would certainly set a precedent and you could see, you know, they're relatively cheap to send these out, and could, could it become really a, a hallmark at the end of campaigns? And the reason, the reason robocalls have been so successful over the years is 'cause they work, right? 'Cause you send out all these calls and you don't need to get that high a success rate to, to, to be, to have, to see benefits, right? And so some of these elections that are so close in these contested races, if you put out millions of calls and even you get a fraction of a fraction of a percent of people that are persuadable and, and opt to b- you know, go the other way, could that make the difference in, in the election? And I think history shows too that when any party, liberal, conservative, Democrat, Republican, finds some new [laughs] technique that's cost-effective to reach voters, it's hard not to imagine that, that everybody's not gonna follow suit and try to, try to take advantage.
