Club Atlético Platense

With a 92nd minute equalizer for Tigre.

Platense, nil.

Lanús, one.

Belé Sarsfield, one.

So...

Yeah, they go and have a look.

And in one minute, we'll have another gimnasio in action because Gimnasia de Mendoza are just about to kick off against Platense.

Yeah.

And I think th- there was a kind of new coach bounce when he first took over, but I think he might have the problem, the classic assistant's problem of, uh, being too close to all of the veteran players.

So he picks them all together and, uh, Fluminense have got this far in the competition because they've scraped past a couple of very small Argent- uh, sides from Argentina, Independiente Rivadavia and Platense, both debutants in this competition.

Uh, and now they've come up, up, up against Palmeiras who know what they're doing, and, uh, they were very...

They came very, very close to effectively being knocked out in the first leg of, of the, uh, of the semi against, against Palmeiras.

San Lorenzo one, Deportivo Riestra nil.

Platense one, Argentinos Juniors nil...

Uh, sorry, one.

I'm skipping ahead because the next result is, uh, nil for the away team.

But, um, yeah.

Well, I think that they can...

Did, did Argentinos, yeah, Argentinos drop points 'cause they drew with Platense.

They drew, yeah, yeah.

I'm your host, ready to dive into the action from across the globe.

Today, we're focusing on a fixture from Argentina, Platense versus Argentinos Juniors, which ended one goal apiece.

The game took place at the Ciudad de Vicente Lopez, and it was Argentinos Juniors who drew first blood.

In the 11th minute, Diego Porcel found the back of the net, putting his side ahead.

That was how things remained until halftime, with Argentinos Juniors holding on to their one-goal advantage.

The second half saw Platense pushing for an equalizer.

They managed to find it in the 70th minute through Franco Zapiola, who converted a penalty.

This goal leveled the score at 1-1.

... decided to go for it.

Velez 2, Platense 2, both of Velez's goals coming from, um, Ronaldo Martinez.

I almost said Roman Martinez then.

Remember him?

Times have changed
