Well, 25 years ago, the country forever changed when coordinated terrorist attacks struck New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

Memorials and tributes will be taking place across the country to honor 9-11, including an event happening this morning at the memorial in Clovis.

Tomorrow marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks, a time that our country will never forget.

For the last quarter century, the California 9-11 Memorial in Clovis has honored the lives lost, the heroes, and the stories.

You're looking at footage from Action News archives from the very first ceremony just months after the attacks.

Sanger High School's 9-11 ceremony is just one of many taking place around the Central Valley tomorrow.

In Clovis, hundreds are expected to gather tomorrow for the largest remembrance ceremony outside of New York.

For 25 years, the California Memorial has honored the lives lost Heroes and personal stories from that day.

For retired New York firefighter Andy Asolano, it's a day that forever changed his life.

As a matter of fact, obviously now with 25 years, it's actually a little harder.

It's amazing to believe it's been that long.

Isolano attended the first ceremony held in December of 2001 in Clovis.

Now he will return to share his story 25 years later.

So we've got a special guest here in studio with us, and that's Andy Isolano.

And Andy is the keynote speaker at the California 9-11 Memorial taking place in Clovis tomorrow at 8.30 in the morning.

That's, you know, the old Pelco.

That's what we all know it as around here, right, Andy? And Andy is a former New York City firefighter.

He responded to the towers on 9-11.

Let's start, though, if you don't mind, with one year after 9-11, right? When you first came to Clovis.

Well, and it wasn't even a year.

It was December of 01.

You know what you're voting for.

And that's why Clovis will again vote and support this.

The campaign launch comes after months of contention and confusion.

The City of Fresno even created a backup measure in case this one fell through.

He was inside the Pentagon on 9/11 when it was struck by a hijacked flight.

184 people died at that location, including Fresno State grad Lieutenant Commander Vince Tolbert.

My dad took a job in Fresno.

and they lived in Clovis and so I was staying with them and I would fall asleep on the couch and I have one of the things in my book I talk about and it's funny because you'll know all this stuff by the time I get to this chapter you'll know so much about me you're like it all fits but I have a lazy eye and so when I was younger they called me Popeye and I've had surgeries and I one of my eyes doesn't fully close when I sleep so you think I'm awake but you're not sure and And so I was asleep on the couch, and my dad came out in his robe and exposed himself to me because he thought I was asleep on the couch.

And I was asleep, but then I woke up to this thing in my face.

And I pretended like I was just waking up, and he's like, go to sleep.
